Our whitewater rafting season runs from April to October.

Highest water is in the Spring (April, May and June). There are exceptions based on dam release schedules.

Will there be enough water for my trip?
YES! All our rivers are DAM CONTROLLED. We obtain release schedules well in advance. We run the best whitewater rivers in the Northeast. All rivers are class IV with some rapids rated class V+!

Water temperature is 40-50F in April and May, 50-60F in June and above 70F in July and August. Depending on the weather, the water stays warm through September and starts to cool off in October.

In early spring and late fall, wetsuits are required. We rent full wetsuits and wetsuit booties ranging in size from small to XXXXL.

What should I wear?
A swimsuit or shorts, sneakers, water sandals or water shoes, glasses or sunglasses with a strap, contacts are OK and synthetic wool or silk uppers and lowers if weather or water is cold. DO NOT WEAR COTTON OR COTTON BLENDS!! Bring a towel and a change of clothes for the end of the day.

Do I need whitewater experience?
No, in fact you do not even need to know how to swim (our life jackets are the best). However, minimum ages apply for each river. Having normal health is recommended.

No. At RIVERDRIVERS, we provide a snack and drink while on the river. When we return to base, we have the grill hot and provide a hearty barbeque with all the fixins'
